wedding crashers almost crashes
Caught 'Wedding Crashers' at plaza sing in the afternoon as one of my friend took half day leave and we have the time. 8 Days gave it 3.5 stars out of 5. I think i can live with that. The movie on a whole is not exactly brillant. Quite funny actually. Certain parts were very funny but on the whole only ok i guess. Not a bad movie also. Also don't know how to say.
During the midst of the movie a song took my attention more than anything. It was when the male and female leads were creeping around outside their rooms in the middle of the night. And the song came on. It was 'Sparks' by Coldplay. Almost forgot how much i loved this song. It can be found in their first album and i really like this song. Comforting melody, simple lyrics... nice. Nowadays too many songs their arrangement taking too much away from the song itself. Just a guitar or piano by itself can also produce great songs. Listen in if you can then. Highly recommended.
On my way home after that and stopped by the coffeeshop near my house to buy dinner for my mum and sis. They wanted to eat the newly-opened western food there. Placed my order of 2 BLACK PEPPER CHICKEN CHOP WITH RICE and then proceeded away to buy another packet of cha-shao rice. Went back after that and waited. More people started placing their orders (no one was before me) and the auntie looked very busy. Then the other people started to claim their orders and i was still waiting. Sensing something was wrong i approached the auntie for some 'justice'. She then said she forgot my order and i have to wait for a while more.
That's not the main point. Normally i am quite a good-tempered and quite patient man. But the problem is my order is not the only one she forgot. There were 2 other. Then she even had the cheek to tell one uncle that she's new here and so cannot blame her. Moreover her shou-jiao also very slow. I mean that's not the way to run a business (even if the business might not be yours). No wonder there are so many complaints about the service sector in singapore. After today i can understand. So what if you're new?? So what if you're an auntie?? New then can forget orders and give attitude face and show attitude is it?? Blood boiled a bit while witnessing all these and waiting there. Cannot like that lah seriously. Think will not be buying from her again. Not worth my anger i guess. Just avoid better. Anyway another coffeeshop a stone's throw away also has a western food store.
I'm not a petty person. I gave up my seat to a pregnant lady on the train earlier some more ok!?
