bad karma

Not in a very pleasant mood these few days. Maybe because of my hand. But never mind that. Two things today.

ONE) CORS SUCKS!! For those who don't know, CORS stands for Centralised Online Registration System and it's through this online server that we poor students of NUS bid and obtain the modules that we are to study for the following semester. Yes, and this system sucks. In what way?? Yesterday was the date for our tutorials balloting and sadly it's also through CORS. Notwithstanding the fact that i did not get all my desired tutorials slots (definitely adds to the hatred of this system as another friend who bid for the same thing got all of them), the system and server just can't seem to cope with the amount of traffic when the going gets tough. But they should expect this amount of traffic during the peak period what right?! Think the system was down for half a day yesterday and the deadline for balloting was delayed for like three times. Makings of a top ten university in the world?? NOPE. And this is not the frst time this has happened. Not the first time in my short NUS career. And not the first time for this semester's bidding. Sigh. Not that this will help....

TWO) Try not to walk outside and take an open aired stairs and steps down when it's raining or drizzling. Try not to laugh at your friend walking in front who slipped down the wet steps of the stairs because of his slippers (think that's the reason). Not when you are also wearing slippers. Because now i believe in bad karma. Bao ying. Retribution. And aggrevated my wrist injury before it's even close to healing. Bad karma. S**ty s**t. Trying not to humilate myself here.
