owen in jenas out

Michael Owen. Our new No. 10!! Meanwhile Jenas moves to Tottenham. Not very happy (not him, me). Better times ahead?? Hopefully. Finally can boast of a calibre striker. Even if it is only for a year. But the team is still not big and not good enough. A few more hours to transfer deadline. Can we expect any more movements?? 19th out of 20 teams. The only way is up from here i guess. Go owen go....

Other news. Andy van der Meyde, one times good dutch winger, joins Everton. Edgar Davids joins Tottenham (going to be too crowded very soon). Why cannot come Newcastle?? We need players. Maybe more in need of defenders and strikers. If only.

***LATEST UPDATES:
Nolberto Solano completed his return to Newcastle less than an hour before the closure of the transfer window. Teenager James Milner will go the other way instead and spend the rest of the season on loan at Aston Villa. (Again... one in one out. Milner can be a good player for us. But he's gone also. Squad still too small. But then again we don't have european football this season so maybe still ok. Don't think they should sell Milner though. We need youth and talent. Look at what Tottenham is doing.)

Chairman Freddy Shepherd added: 'It's great to have Nobby back and I am sure all the fans are thrilled by the news.' (Owen also.)

Yeah.
