try this during your break

Taking a break from studying. Four down. One more to go. Last one. Two days. Woooooo....

Try this. Got this from a friend's site.

ALZHEIMERS' EYE TEST
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Count every "F " in the following text:

FINISHED FILES ARE THE RESULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTIFIC STUDY COMBINED WITH THE EXPERIENCE OF YEARS...

(SEE BELOW)

HOW MANY ?

3??

WRONG!!

THERE ARE 6 -- no joke. READ IT AGAIN!!

The reasoning behind is further down.

The brain cannot process "OF".

Incredible or what? Go back and look again!!

Anyone who counts all 6 "F's" on the first go is a genius.
Three is normal, four is quite rare.

I'm a genius... NOT. Have a nice day.

it's finally here....

I am afraid to tell you who I am, because, if I tell you who I am,
you may not like who I am, and it's all that I have.

Finally after a long wait. IT'S HERE. Nope... i'm not talking about harry potter. I'm talking about my exams. 9 hours and 25 minutes to the start of my first of five papers for this semester. I'm not prepared is the current understatement of the moment. I'll try my best and hopefully all goes well. An arts paper to kick things off so still not so bad. Like a friend has said.... it doesn't feel like exams. No stress (good or bad??)... no anxiety... feeling exceptionally calm now. Maybe this will all change after 11am tomorrow. Or maybe i've learnt how to deal with exams already. ....Nah.... not possible. I think some people have already had their first paper today so good luck everyone and may the good lord bless all of us. 10 days of hell. And it'll be over. Woooooo.... can't wait....

The Great Souness just said Scott Parker can be a future captain of the Great Newcastle United and he don't understand why he is not being picked for England. Gotta agree with him. But the last time he said that.... J Jenas packed his bags and moved to Tottenham in a jiffy. Hopefully not. And no i dont expect them to beat chelski of for chelski to lose. A backlash is definite. A draw would be nice. Also Roy Keane has left Man Utd by "mutual consent". Quite sad that things turned out this way. Someone's nick just changed to "no one is indispensible". Very true. But still not the ending many people have come to expect.

Don't walk in front of me
I may not follow
Don't walk behind me
I may not lead
Walk beside me
And just be my friend.

greatness personified

Exams are really around the corner man. How do i know?? The central library is packed. Very packed. YIH reading room is packed. Very packed. A bit scary actually. So many people studying. Weird sense of foreboding. Simply no mood or enthusiam to study or work harder this semester. Will just try my best now. Not very hopeful. Time running out. Material to cover isn't. 14 days. 2 weeks. And it'll all be over. Good luck people. Still don't know why some people can still do well everytime anytime. (No lah i think i know.) Keep working hard my friends. For NTU people the finishing line is near. For NUS people the finishing line is also very near. 加油加油。

Also heard that a friend is going overseas for an exchange program. Me?? No money no talk.

Eddie Guerrero (from WWE wrestling) died in his hotel room yesterday. My friend say it's because he took drugs. But this is too sudden. I think they are still trying to 捧 him currently. Condolences to his family.

第一种伟大是天生的伟大。
第二种伟大是人家捧出来的伟大。
最后一种伟大是自己努力而获得的伟大。

Yes.... as those who know me will testify.... i'm a ONE. I'm a natural. And it's true.

Haha. .... (know what this means?)

i've sinned

罪过,罪过。

At the time of writing, i'm officially down to a single digit days countdown to my first paper. But guess what?? Caught "Sky High" earlier in the day instead. And not feeling the least guilty about it. Something seriously wrong?? You tell me.

Not a bad show. Though by the first five minutes you already know the show is a comedy. Quite funny and not bad actually. For those who know me... yes something like my kind of show. Prefer comedies to korean horror flicks anytime. Spend money to scare yourself?? I rather spend money to make myself laugh and be happy.

Also bumped into my former "sergeant" outside the mall working. Long time since we last met. Quite a surprise actually.

Decided to start serious studying TODAY. Yes.... no more Cs. No more Cs. Come on repeat after me. NO MORE Cs.

And the theme song for Channel 8 9pm show is nice. 我要用心舞出每一个希望。

Just read a report on soccernet regarding Wigan's Guadeloupe-born right-back Pascal Chimbonda and his contract which includes a buy-out clause. Due to his great form the club is offering a new contract to keep him after a previous bad experience. Below is what transpired.

Chimbonda's agent Willie McKay has assured the club his client is keen to commit his future, saying: 'A few clubs have contacted me about Pascal possibly doing a deal in January but I could not do that to Paul Jewell after he took a chance on him.'

'More importantly, Pascal could not do that either to the club, Paul Jewell or (owner) Dave Whelan.'

'Pascal is happy at Wigan and is loving life there. He is playing well and I hope to sit down with Wigan and thrash out a new deal for Pascal.'

Good to see some sense left in post-Roman football.

Of course if it turns out differently then it's another matter altogether.

miraculous

Something miraculous happened today. Still quite amazed till now. It is about an object which I'll just call the Thing. It's not very big.... quite small and thin actually but relatively important. This Thing has been missing despite an extensive search for months already. I know it is in my home as I don't remember bringing it out since I brought it back. But I just cannot find it. I thought I had lost or misplaced the Thing when I moved a while back and was contemplating making a police report in this upcoming holidays (so that makes the Thing quite important). Then guess what. I digged out a bag in my cupboard which I havn't used for quite a while to use today when I go out. Then when outside for some particular reason I reached inside the bag and felt something. Upon inspection.... it's the Thing!! Wow. Quite happy now.

"He was lost but now am found again."

But then again there's a quiz tomorrow which carries 50% of the weightage for that module. Don't really know what there is to study actually. Take it as it comes i guess. Hopefully it goes well. Pray for me....

The past shapes who we are today and provides us with the ability to shape our future.

Was watching a Channel U programme the other night called “当我们同在一起” and it's about a host helping some celebrities or 委托人 to find someone who meant a lot to him/her but have lost contact with already. Pretty similar to 超级星期天“超级任务” from a few years back actually for those who remembered. Got me thinking. How many people are there in your life thus far who have made an impact on or influenced you but is/are no longer in it now? Many many i think. Teachers... primary school... etc. And the cold fact is that you most probably will not see some of them ever again. The fact is you might not even see some of the people around you now some more years down the road. Does that happen because it just happens?

Aarrrggghhhh. Quiz tomorrow. Got to go to school for it only. Sianzzz......

it's coming...

Quite a coincidental day today. Saw a few "long-lost" "friends" throughout the course of the day. Then realised that time really flies. And so much have happened since.

Watched the amazing race on tv earlier. Got this little girl from the family that was eliminated... so cute. Tears started falling when told of their elimination. Very sad. Also dont know why. But got this mother with three daughters taking part. Cracked when their van's tyre stuck in mud and started screaming and scolding. Cannot take it. Spoil the mood of everybody.

Sensitive numbers all around.

4 hours of lectures left.

1 1/2 hour quiz next week. (the 1 and the 1/2 to be read separately)

0 tutorials. Woooooo.

10 hours of exams to befall me soon.

16 days before that starts happening.

26 days to a new beginning.

Can't wait for that.

Shit. November already. Mood for studying still not visiting me yet. Called to say it'll be late. Can't wait for next semester. Hopefully can reach my target this time round. At least.
