why why

Some things I just don't understand...

People will rush and squeeze and deform themselves to get into the north bound train at jurong east during peak hour (not necessarily) and then get off at bt batok (which is the next stop for those not familiar with this part of the world).

6 hours of sleep a day is not enough to sustain me.

Mood swings.

I don't feel passionate about nothing. I think.

And why someone will marry the girl who eats chocolate with him.

And it's only tuesday. Sigh.

那爱一直到今天
才在我心中浮现
爱情真出现那一瞬间
我们都没发现
那雨是一直到今天
爱下在我心里面
淋湿了双眼
湿过今天
才清晰的看见 你的脸

walking hazard

I realised today i can die in this job i'm in right now. So i better be more careful.

Was testing and connecting up a switch to a AC-DC power converter unit in the workshop when something damn exciting happened. After doing the wirings the next thing to do was to plug into the wall power socket and power up the unit. And that's what i did. Upon the casual and confident flick of the unassuming socket switch.... there was a BOOM and a big spark and the whole workshop fell into darkness.

How exciting is that?!

But no i was not reprimended. Life just goes on after some jokes. Haha.

Add to the $100+ LCD module i burnt and the numerous zener diode that i spoilt so actually i'm not very suited to this electrical thing. And the many colours of the wires give me headaches.

21.5 more weeks.

On a happier note.... i found out that with extreme luck with the terrible public transport after work.... i could actually reach home before 6pm. Scant consolation. That is like the one bright spark so far.

work with passion

Work work work. Boring Boring Boring. No life No life No life.

Now i truly understand the importance of doing something you really love or like and have a passion in. Or else it will be one big chore and bore. And to think most of us will be working for perhaps the rest of our waking hours in a year's time or so.

Scary.

It's really difficult to do nothing while stuck in an office. And you cannot sleep.

But i like to sleep. And it's something i think i'm already seriously lacking three weeks into the job.

At least today was better and much more bearable.

Need to find out what my passion is. Soon. Very soon. And fast too.

Hope everyone's having fun. Sorry that my mood is not very good. I apologise.

They can't take this precious love I'll always have inside me
Certainly the Lord will guide me where I need to go....

They can say anything they want to say
Try to bring me down
But I won't face the ground
I will rise steadily
Sailing out of their reach

Oh Lord
They do try hard to make me feel
That I don't matter at all
But I refuse to falter
In what I believe
Or lose faith in my dreams

'Cause there's a light in me that shines brightly
They can try but they can't take that away from me

attachment

Started on my industrial attachment (IA) last monday at STK. I also cannot tell if the first week is good or bad. Maybe should have stayed in school instead. But too late for that now.

I start work at 0730hrs. Yes you didn't read wrongly. So i'm constantly in a state of not-enough-sleep. Feels like it's back to my JC days. It's also like 3 stops before my JC somemore.

The workplace is no different to an army camp. Looks and feels alike. Even some of the rules are similar. Using my old phone the Nokia 6610 now. You know what i mean??

The pay is seriously very little. Food and transport siong man.

Tiolets also not very good.

But so far not a lot of things to do. Now i would rather to have something to do instead. It's a torture to not have anything to do and not fall asleep. Especially after lunch.

And the weird thing is my supervisor looks like my platoon sergeant from BMT.

But the people and technicians there seems friendly enough. That's good.

Completed my first circuit with component and wires and soldering and everything last week. I seriously suck at circuits and electrical stuff. The most common question i get is what is a mechanical engineering student doing there as the place deals with electrical and electronic stuff. Maybe i chose my project wrongly.

Now i can only hope i learn something useful from my time there.

The department had a BBQ gathering on Friday. Stayed behind and joined them. Think everything totaled up to just less than 400 bucks. But the people were all so efficient and technology helps. With the help of a big electrical fan the fire was set up in like 15 minutes and ready for cooking. Pretty fast. Classic men gathering with food and beer. Not bad lah. But very tired after that.

Just had dinner at marina steamboad. So that makes it two nights of unhealthy food. Need to do something about it. Maybe detox or something. Haha.

And it's back to work early in the morning tomorrow. Pray for me.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

A very quiet and unspectacular end to 2006 and start to 2007 this year. Really amazed at Taiwan's countdown. They have like one countdown party cum concert at every place. Watched parts of the Taipei countdown party on TV and man it was packed to the brim. Maybe should consider going there for their countdown someday.

Thanks to a good friend who is having fun in germany now for remembering and for his wishes. Truly appreciate it.

Thanks to those who wished me well.

One year older. None the wiser.

Results are "officially" out on tuesday. Last tuesday. No moderation. No change. Still sad. Thanks for the treat though MH.

3 movies this past week. Charlotte's Web on tuesday. Then Shang Cheng aka Confession Of Pain and Night At The Museum on thursday. Charlotte was OK. Quite similar to the book but some parts of the book was left out though. Confession was not as enjoyable. I prefer Wu Jian Dao aka Infernal Affairs more. Shall not be a spoiler here. Museum was very nice. Very funny. Better than i expected. I recommend it for some light-hearted fun and laughter.

As we grow older our bodies get weaker fatter and more unfit. A fact of life but it still hurts nonetheless.

The coming of 2007 marks the start of the 11th year of friendship for some of us from secondary school.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! HAPPY 2007!! AND MAY ALL YOUR WISHES AND RESOLUTIONS COME TRUE!!

My resolutions?? Some other time maybe.
