cheap trill

myheritage.com Face Recognition system made me realise something and reaffirmed views that i'm a star in the making. See who it said my face matched...

Takeshi Kanishiro...

Bae Yong Jun... unlike my friend who's fei yong jun...

Nicholas Tse...

and Anna Kournikova??

And a lot of other people who i don't think will strengthen my case. Haha....

Now you know i'm not joking.

And the trill and joy and happiness ends there.

Back to the real world.

realisations

Can't really remember the last time i posted something. So that means it must have been quite a long time. A fan of this blog was complaining about the inactivity so while taking a break from my monotonous lecture notes... might as well write something here. Listening to "Bad Day" by Daniel Powter and it sort of sums things up. Having a few bad days recently. More and more of them actually.

A lot of random thoughts. But none of the ability to piece them together into a smooth flowing (i.e. ideal non-viscous laminar) article for your entertainment. So here they are in no order of merit....

"Boston Legal" is back!!! One of my favourites.

My memory is getting from bad to worse. Short term memory or so it's called right. I think my brain capacity and ram is running out. About time to reformat. The question is how.

I am turning into a pig. NOOOOO!!!

Might as well add "a lonely old man" to that. Will most probably die as one also.

A friend of mine is so excited about the prospects of going back for his ICT (in-camp training). Weird things keep happening.

I warm up extremely slowly to strangers and people i don't know well sadly.

I found out that i am actually a very competitive person. But i don't like competition. Yes... i am a very 'dilemnatic' person. That's why i don't go around looking for competition. That's one of the reasons why i don't play online games which i mostly suck in. That's why i can come across as rough and 'attitude'. And i'm sorry.

Zap zap 腹部... Zap zap 腹部... Zap zap 臀部... Zap zap 臀部... Zap zap 大腿... Zap zap 大腿... so freaking irritating. But brillant at the same time. This is what i call a commercial that made an impact. It got people to sit up. Literally..... And curse.

I don't like the feeling of rejection.

我在感情里的问题就是没有问题。

I am an extremely boring person. As many people can testify.

I am not very good at expressing myself to people.

But i really treasure you as a friend.

I believe that everybody needs to take some time off for himself.

I seriously don't know what i'm doing in school. I don't understand so many things that i surprise even myself. Basically i suck at my core modules. A classic conversation goes like this:

A: Hey yo... what are you studying (i.e which faculty are you in) ?
Me: Engineering.
A: So you going to be an engineer?
Me: Don't think so.

It's not that i don't want to be an engineer or don't wish to. In actualy fact it's because i'm afraid to be an engineer (if i actually graduate as one in a couple of years' time). I'm afraid that i will cock up in what i'm supposed to be good and well-versed in. And that's a scary prospect. I don't run very fast but i like to run yes.

I really wish i can actually swim.

Six-pecs do get you somewhere. (Star Idol)

So there you have it. A big piece of me. And i actually don't feel any different.

Enjoy your day and whatever you're doing.

the sun and the sand

Yesterday was a day of enjoyment, fun and hot!

Was asked by a friend to help out at...

I was at Sunset bay to do admin for Beach Fiesta, counting and tele-ing the scores for the 25 teams who joined the volleyball competition. It's really nice and fine weather and the 3 of us, kept on exposing our skin under the sun! HA! We also came up with alot of jokes... like the clouds not working overtime to cover the sun... and not enough clouds to queue up to come to Sentosa... (Courtesy of Mervyn... tired to come up with this myself... Haha...)

And of couse there a pegeant added into the mix which sadly i didn't catch much of...

Let the games begin...

Actually, truth be told, i think i didn't do much for the whole day anyways... only stayed under the scorching sun and heat for hours and reapplying the suntan lotion. I think that works because my skin is still not peeling 24 hours on. The sun was powerful man i tell you. Scorching is an understatement. But we refused to seek shelter. Haha... mad men... and women. A bit dehydrated at the end of the day. But it was fun. Hasn't been to Sentosa and the beach for some time and with work piling up it was a good time to relax a bit with the sun and the sand. And also a good time to get some tan with the weather going this way lately.

BEFORE... at the start fo the day and event...

AFTER... near the end...

Notice the tan?? Yah and the suntan lotion as well.

4 of the 6 "adminstrators". The other 2 have something on so left earlier.

So many people wearing Havaianas. And the weird thing is the main sponsor for this event was newurbanmale.com who sells Havaianas. Coincidences everywhere.

After everything has ended, we were on our way to catch the bus when we passed by the newly added attraction at Sentosa -- the Luge. "Sentosa brings you the first ever luge in Southeast Asia. Part go-cart, part-toboggan, pure excitement – the luge is a fun-filled gravity ride that's safe for all ages. With a unique steering and braking system that allows you to make the ride as leisurely or as exciting as you want." Together with this is a chairlift from Siloso beach all the way up to the Imbiah Lookout (i think that's what it's called). No we didn't take the luge. We tried the chairlift only. One way.

At the start as it was going up, i was filled with apprehension as there are no safety nets below us and we were going higher and higher. Also the entire thing just felt quite unsafe. (Of couse it should be quite safe as i survived it and is still writing here.) Also we were wearing slippers and we were also so scared that our slippers will slip off (no pun intended) and then we'll have to go home bare-footed. So have to kiap tighter. Resulting in a mild cramp in the toes after a day at the beach at the end of the ride. But on the whole it was quite nice. It was chilly at the top (freezing in the weather) part of the ride and the winds were strong. Scary. My friend said it felt like Final Destination 3. He tends to exaggerate things. But what was nice was the view of the beaches and sea and Singapore along the highest part of the ride. Awesome. Then it ended too soon. Haha. Not enough time to soak in the view.

Took this at the along the top. Camera phone still not very good. It was much better.

To cap off a great day... NEWCASTLE WON AGAIN!! Yeah... we beat Bolton 3-1 at SJP to keep our unbeaten run going. It has been six games since we last lost and we even won five of those. Bring on Manchester Utd, Liverpool and Chelsea!!

But just saw and read a piece of very distressing news. Really don't feel like talking about it. ET you better watch it. It was very cruel of you to do this. To think i treated you as a friend.

Haha. Sigh. This world is so full of lies and shit.

Lack of sleep and water!!
